Teach, Grow, and Share God’s Creation

We seek dedicated Christian staff with high school diplomas or degrees in fields like biology, environmental education, or recreation.

What truly inspires us is finding individuals who are passionate about sharing Christ's love through our curriculum and fellowship, and about nurturing our students.

We support our staff as they move from one phase of life to the next with direction and a clearer sense of purpose for their next steps after camp!

Program Goals

Create space for the Holy Spirit to draw people closer to Jesus Christ through creation, the Word of God, prayer, and our Biblical lifestyles.

Learn and apply scientific concepts while in an outdoor classroom.

Develop a sense of responsibility and cooperation through group living and learning.

Grow in understanding that all people represent the image of God, leading to growth in self-confidence and respect for others.

What to Expect

We train our Outdoor Education staff with a unique curriculum that covers local and global environments and emphasizes stewardship.

Our core lessons cover botany, geology, and ecology, while supplemental lessons engage students in topics such as sustainability, survival, and astronomy.

We also gather weekly for prayer and worship to encourage one another as we pursue a personal relationship with our Savior.

Activities

As part of our staff, you'll lead hikes, teach, and help students build self-confidence through archery, team-building, rock wall climbing, night hikes, and more!

We also create a fun, fellowship-filled environment through dance nights, camp songs, skits, campfire stories, and games.

Travel

Our diverse team unites Christians from across the country to create a Spirit-filled and welcoming community.

We strive to foster a healthy work culture that nurtures strong camaraderie, often growing into lifelong friendships.

While base camp is in Crestline, we operate programs at partner sites, allowing our staff to explore the West Coast.

Typically lasting 2 weeks, travel assignments include housing and meals, making it an enriching experience both personally and professionally.

Things to Do

Our team enjoys weekends off to explore the beautiful state of California. One weekend, you might find yourself exploring Death Valley, the lowest elevation point on Earth, while the next could lead you to the majestic giant trees of Sequoia National Park.

Our flagship site, Thousand Pines Camp, located in the San Bernardino National Forest, offers stunning views and famous trails. You can easily plan a day trip to beaches from San Diego to Santa Barbara, or camp at Joshua Tree or near Yosemite. If you prefer the hustle and bustle of city life, Los Angeles is just a short drive down the mountain.

Staying in Crestline is equally enjoyable, with cozy coffee shops, serene lakes, and charming shops and local churches to discover.

Adventure awaits! Get ready to carpool with fellow staff and embark on new adventures almost every weekend, making every moment an exciting opportunity for exploration!

Season

We mainly recruit in late summer for the entire school year.

We are always accepting applications and hiring staff for the Fall and Spring semesters, as well as during the school year.

Apply today to join us at any time of the year!
